CORRECTIONAL MEDICAL NETWORK PRIVACY POLICY


OVERVIEW.

Correctional Medical Network LLC. ("CMN") is committed to providing you with a safe, secure environment from which you can confidently register, apply for jobs and receive our job matching services. To demonstrate our firm commitment to assuring your privacy, CMN has created this privacy statement to explain the information gathering, storage and dissemination practices we use on our Site. Our promise to you is that we will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to us remains private, and will only be used for the purposes described herein. By accessing, using and/or registering on this Site, you consent to the policies and practices described in this statement.
Note that the Terms and Conditions of Use also govern this Site. Please review these policies before using this Site.


COLLECTON OF INFORMATION


ANONYMOUS BROWSING.

You can use our Site without revealing any information about yourself. In this case, we gather or may gather certain information about your use of our Site, such as what areas you visit and what services you access. Our web server may collect the following information about your computer hardware and software: IP address, domain name, browser type and version, operating system type and version, the referring web site, the web site you visit next, and access times. This information is used to evaluate different aspects of the CMN Site, including monitoring Site performance for systems administration purposes, improving the functionality of the Site, and reporting aggregate information to our clients and prospective customers (e.g. how much traffic we get to the Site). Statistics about traffic patterns and Site usage are reported on an aggregate basis only and do not include any personal information that identifies individuals.


COLLECTION, RETENTION, DISCLOSURE AND USE OF INFORMATION.

This information is used to create an online, searchable profile that can be accessed by the employers who advertise on our Site or who have database access to our Site.
We use this information to:
1) provide advertisers with aggregate information about our job seeker database,
2) provide Site developers with information that will enable them to develop appropriate content, features and services, and
3) inform you of job opportunities that may interest you. You have two options with respect to privacy when you register on CMN:

1. You can store your r?sum? in our database but indicate that you would like all of your contact information kept confidential. This means that employers will not be able to see any information by which you could be identified, including your contact information, names of current and past employers and educational institution(s) attended. Employers will only be able to see a profile that contains the job title(s) you have held, years of work experience, the degrees you hold (but not educational institution). Employers will also be able to see your dates of registration and last contact with CMN as well as your location of preference. You can use your confidential online r?sum? to apply for jobs, in which case such application constitutes a release of all your personal information.


2. You can store your r?sum? in our database and allow it to be searchable by employers. In this case, employers will have access to all of the information you provided to register on CMN, including but not limited to your contact information, work history and educational history.
You can change your privacy preferences at any time by logging into your CMN account or by emailing our CMN Site Services at admin@correctionmedical.com. If you would you choose to keep all of your information confidential, employers can send you emails through your CMN account. Your information will only be released when you either send us an email indicating that you would like your information released to a specific employer, or apply directly online to an employer. Online application constitutes a release of your personal information.


Access to our r?sum? database is restricted only to subscribing employers, law enforcement and national security agencies. CMN cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database. You may remove your r?sum? from our database at any time or change your privacy preferences. However, employers who currently have access to that database or who have had access to the database in the past, as well as parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your r?sum? in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of r?sum?s in these instances.
We may also use, disclose and communicate your personal information if required to do so by the law including by an order of the court.
Your job application history is retained on our system. You are able to see your job application history for six months, to enable you to see which jobs you have recently applied for. Only you personally and CMN employees are able to see your job application history. Should you choose to remove your r?sum? from our database or close your CMN account, we will remove your r?sum?, and CMN profile information from our externally visible system. Please note that a copy of any information that you have provided may remain in back-up storage for some period of time after your deletion request. This may be the case even though no information about your account remains in our active user databases and is not visible to yourself or to subscribing employers.
Some job postings on the CMN Site link directly to the employers web site and require you to enter your information into their system in order to apply. In such cases, you will be providing your r?sum? directly to the employer and your r?sum? will be subject to their privacy policy. CMN is not responsible for the privacy practices of such employer.


INDENTIFYING INFORMATION.

Information about you or your company as a subscriber or registrant may be shared in the following instances:
Compliance with Law: CMN may release information if it is required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) comply with the law or comply with legal process served on CMN; and (2) protect and defend the legitimate business interests, rights or property of CMN, its users, advertisers, customers, sponsors, advertisers or affiliates.
Vendors: CMN may on occasion use third-party vendors to assist it in performing its business functions, such as mailing statements to subscribers, editing user lists, processing data and payments, and providing customer service. Personal information may be shared with these businesses or individuals to allow them to perform their assigned functions, but is limited to that information needed to perform the assigned function, and may not be used for any other purpose.
Organizational Changes: Should CMN undergo a sales, merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganization or liquidation, CMN's accumulated customer information will be treated as an asset and, like other business assets, subject to transfer to or acquisition by a third party.
Customer Requests for Personal Information: Upon your request, CMN will provide you with its record of the personal information you gave us at registration. For security reasons, this information will only be sent to the e-mail address on file for the subscriber ID associated with it.
Correspondence with CMN: If you send CMN personal correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, or if other users or third parties send correspondence to CMN about your activities or postings on the Web site, CMN may collect such information into a file specific to you. All submissions become property of CMN.


CONTACT INFORMATION.

We may also use your contact information to send you emails about updates to the CMN Site or new features or services offered by CMN or our business partners or to contact you about your opinion of current products and services or potential future products and services. At the time of registering, you have the option to decline to receive such information from CMN by contacting CMN at admin@correctionalmedical.com.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to CMN, such as service announcements, administrative messages, information about specific job opportunities, and the CMN weekly newsletter that are considered part of your CMN account.
Should you choose to submit feedback to CMN, such feedback becomes our property and we can use such feedback (such as job seeker testimonials) for marketing purposes or to contact you for further information.


ANONYMOUS INFORMATION.

CMN also shares the information it gathers in a compiled format with advertisers and other partners. The compiled format does not include personally identifying information.


INFORMATION GATHERED AND TRACKED.

Statistical Analysis and Banner Advertising: CMN may perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in the various areas of our site (for product development purposes) and to inform advertisers as to how many consumers have seen or "clicked" their advertising banners. CMN also uses demographic information to allow advertising banners on the Web site to be targeted to the readers for whom they are most pertinent. This means that readers will see advertising that is most likely to interest them, and advertisers send their messages to people who are most likely to be receptive, improving both the user's experience and the effectiveness of the ads. In this statistical analyses and banner advertisement targeting, we will disclose information to third parties only in aggregate form, with no personally identifiable information.

DATA SECURITY.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information we collect online, including SSL security for credit card submissions. CMN utilizes PayPal Inc. secure server for Credit Card payments.

ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE.

CMN may utilize the contact information you provided at registration, such as your telephone number and e-mail address, to contact you regarding account status, changes to the subscriber agreement, and to confirm registration.

SERVICE UPDATES AND EMAIL PROMOTIONS.

Using the contact information and e-mail addresses provided at registration, CMN periodically sends promotional messages to its users about services offered by CMN and notifies users of new features or changes that may be made to these services. CMN may also elect to send promotional messages on behalf of selected third parties whose products or services we think may be of interest to you. If you prefer not to receive promotional information please email CMN at admin@correctionalmedical.com.


CORRECTIONS, CANCELATIONS, AND OPTING-OUT.

If you are a registered user with Correctional Medical Network, you may manage your promotional e-mail preferences by "opting-out" of further e-mail contact from correctionmedical.com (excepting notification of major changes to the service) directly by emailing Correctional Medical Network at admin@correctionalmedical.

Upon request, we will (a) remove you and your personal information from our database, thereby canceling your registration, (b) correct personal information that you state is erroneous, (c) manage your promotional e-mail preferences for you, and/or (d) manage your preferences for sharing personally identifying information for you. LINKS TO OTHER WEB SITES.

The CMN Site contains links to other web sites, including employers, vendors and business partners, over which we have no control. While we try to link only to sites that have high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the privacy policies nor the content of other sites.


FORUM DISCUSSION GROUPS.

The privacy provisions described in this document apply to the r?sum? registration and job-seeking portion of the CMN Site only. When users voluntarily and publicly disclose personal information as part of their participation in a forum discussion group, the provisions contained in this Privacy Policy do not apply.


COOKIES.

A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web page server. They are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies permit CMN to recognize you when you access this Site, thus enabling us to deliver a more personalized Site experience.
Cookies are used to help us measure the number of visits, average time spent, page views, and other statistics relating to your use of this Site. If you are searching, a cookie is used to carry the search request data from the request page to the results page. This cookie, by itself, doesn't tell us your email address or who you are. If you register with CMN, cookies assist us in recognize you on subsequent visits and recall your specific information (e.g. user name or password).

You can adjust the settings on your web browser to decline all cookies, if you prefer. You may also be able to modify your browser settings so that you are notified each time a cookie is tendered and decide to accept or decline it. Declining cookies may hinder the performance of the CMN Site.


UPDATING YOUR INFORMATION.

Your personal information is stored on a server located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. You can access, update, edit or delete your registration information, r?sum? or cover letter at any time by logging in to your CMN account. If you have forgotten your password or user id, if you require assistance using the Site, or if you decide that you no longer wish to receive any updates from CMN please email our CMN Site Services to admin@correctionalmedical.com. If you are unsure whether you have registered with us, please email us at and include all email addresses that you may have used to register.
If you opted to receive newsletters or other communications from CMN at the time you registered, but subsequently change your mind, you may opt-out by editing your account profile as described above or by contacting our CMN Services. If you previously opted not to receive such communications, you may later opt-in by editing your account profile.
CMN reserves the right to inactivate or delete a job seeker file at our discretion.


SECURITY. CMN

has implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.
We instruct our employees with access to your personal information that it is to be used only in adherence with the principles set forth in this Privacy Policy. Employees who misuse customer personal information may be subject to disciplinary action.


CHILDREN.

CMN is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.


CHANGES IN PRIVACY POLICY.

Any changes to the Privacy Policy for CMN will be posted here. The date at the top of the Privacy Policy indicates the most recent date that the Policy was amended. Please check this date and ensure that you are familiar with the most recent update. We will seek your consent if we want to use your personal information for purposes other than those you have agreed to previously.
